Get the warrior in action!!!

Let’s awaken the warrior within us!!!  Remember, the warrior always focuses on the solution. 

So don’t take tension. Take action.  

Prepare for the worst hope for the best: 

This strategy involves few steps.  

  1. Challenge your negative thoughts into positive ones.  
  1. Make A to do list. List down all possible actions that you will take to reduce the intensity or avoid the problem completely. 
  1. Act on your decision. Once you decide what to do, you can begin taking a few steps for the best possible outcome.  

Let me explain this using an example. Suppose I have a warning, thought…. Will I be able to take care of my family financially? Let’s try to answer the questions in step one. What is the evidence that the thought is true or that it is not true? The probability seems to be medium or high because due to the pandemic, there has been talks about salary or pay cut giving layoffs or even removing employees. Is there more positive or realistic way of looking at the situation? Well, yes. I will be able to assist all my investments which can be utilized during these moments of crisis. I will be able to see if I can get benefits from financial relief package announced by the government. It will be an opportunity for me to actually know various. Policies of the government. Well, with these thoughts you might have started feeling positive, but the question still remains. How will I take care of my family? How will I deal with it? So we move on to Step 2.  

Step 2 Make A To-Do list!!!  

List down all the possible actions you will take to reduce the intensity or avoid the problem completely. My To Do List will include one check for reserves and decide which one to use. Second, check if I can get some loan or borrow money. Prioritize expenses, decide on what expenses are necessary and which one can be postponed. This leads to Step 3.  

Step 3: Act on your decision: 

Once you decide what to do, you can begin taking steps for the best possible outcome. In this case, my decisions will be I will use money from my savings at home. I will inquire with my bank about the loan. I will postpone buying new gadgets or cars.  

By now, you must have realized that the Warriors always confronts the problem head on by going through the above steps, you have actually confronted the problem you have focused on the solution and not just the problem. So you have activated the warrior within you. It should be noted that this strategy works when we have control of the situation to some extent. In the next blog we will learn more about how to deal with situations which are completely out of control. Till then, be strong, think positive and stay safe!!!
